Starting from Corent (or the Veyre-Monton area), mountain bike route no. 24 – Plateau de Corent takes you to a major site of archaeological and Arverni history. Stretching over 16 km with 360 m of elevation gain, this route offers a lovely sequence of steady climbs, smooth trails across the plateau and pleasant descents.

Highlights of the mountain bike route :
• The Oppidum of Corent : Cross this vast volcanic plateau (the ancient Gallic capital of the Arverni), renowned for its sanctuary and ancient theatre.
• 360° panoramic views : From the top of the plateau, admire splendid views of the meandering Allier river, the Comté region, the Forez mountains and the peaks of the Chaîne des Puys (UNESCO).
• A varied and challenging profile : A route alternating between vineyard tracks, forest tracks and short sections of singletrack on the hillsides.
