Setting off from the charming wine-growing village of Mirefleurs, mountain bike route no. 22 – Le Puy St-Romain – is a challenging 17 km loop designed for those who love hilly terrain and wide open spaces. As you climb to the summit of Puy Saint-Romain (780 m above sea level), you’ll look out over the whole Clermont-Ferrand region and the Val d’Allier.

Highlights of the mountain bike route :
• A breathtaking 360° panorama : At the summit, enjoy a stunning viewpoint taking in the Chaîne des Puys (UNESCO), the Monts Dore (Sancy), the Monts du Forez and the Limagne plain.
• A challenging yet rewarding route : A steady climb to reach the summit (cumulative elevation gain of +480 m), followed by lovely, flowing descents through woods and hillsides.
• A wealth of rural heritage : Pass through the village of Mirefleurs and wind your way through the old vineyard-covered hillsides and unspoilt woodland.
