Route description

Wild and varied, it’s a treat for the experienced hiker or triallist…

Guidebook with maps/step-by-step :

Étape 8 : Go down the stairs and follow the path through the woods. This leads to a wide driveway. Turn left for 150 m, then right on a well-marked path.
– At the crow’s feet, turn left onto the path leading downhill. Ford the Thèdes stream. Follow the path to the right for 30m.
– Turn left. The narrow path gradually widens until it becomes a forest track.
– After more than 1.5 km, take a path that descends to the right. At the bottom of the stairs, follow it to the right, overhanging the Artière de Boisséjour stream, until you reach a large forest alley. Take the alley on the left as far as the stream.

Possibility of leaving at P8 Route de Charade
– Follow the forest track down to the stream. Turn right down the Chemin de Bourgailloux, which runs alongside the stream.
– Descend the stairs to the right. When you reach the stream, take the left-hand path that runs alongside the Plaines housing estate. Cross the bridge to the right and take the opposite road to a wide path running alongside orchards and gardens. Cross another bridge and immediately turn right into a small cul-de-sac which leads to a track on the left. Follow this road up into the forest as far as the forest lane (ignoring a path on the left).
– Take the forestry lane on the left as far as the reservoir.
– At the reservoir, turn left down the Chemin de la Croze, overlooking the Ruisseau de la Croze.
– At the intersection, take the carriage road to the right. Continue along a footpath, and turn left onto the path leading to Notre Dame de Belou. Continue as far as the road.
– Turn left down Avenue de la Chataigneraie. At the crossroads, turn right onto Avenue Wilson, which leads to the P5 parking lot.
